UPDATE: SOLD OUT!!!

Finally! My secret origin revealed!!!

This new mini-comic collects ten strips ranging from one to six pages each. Five of these strips have never seen print before in any form and the others are from zines and anthologies that surely almost no one has read… so basically it’s all new stuff!

Veggie Dog Saturn #0 will officially release at The Small Press and Alternative Comics Expo (S.P.A.C.E.) this weekend! For more information on the show check out their website here.

And if you don’t make it to the show please feel free to send three measly dollars to Jason Young 3315 S. Smithville Rd. Dayton, Oh. 45420 (or via paypal to veggiedogsaturn (at) gmail (dot) com) for a postage paid copy delivered right to your door (throw in a few extra bucks and I’ll send you some other comics or artwork as well)!

Witchcraft the Conjuring

So after working at a comic book shop for two decades I decided to make a mini-comic parodying the experience (especially a certain collectible card game that we sold). The result is Witchcraft the Conjuring, a 28 page comic that depicts the true life tragedy that can happen when an insidious card game infects a mild mannered comic book shop.

When I finished it I showed the cover to my pal Eric who said he thought he could add some tweaks here and there. What he did was amazing… I’m so happy with the way the cover turned out (especially if you compare it with my version).

Regular version available for $4 postpaid to the address at the bottom of this page (or by paypal to veggiedogsaturn@gmail.com )

Also available as a Collector’s Edition featuring sharp corners (as opposed to the rounded regular edition) and hand signed and numbered from an extremely limited edition of only 7 copies (featuring a full color Witchcraft the Conjuring trading card drawn on the inside front cover) for only $10 ea!

Here’s a sample interior page for your enjoyment:

Published by We Care Arts, this is an all ages friendly comic written by We Care Arts client Lauren Easley about a golden retriever who joins a bowling league. It’s pretty darn cute.

We Care is an art studio where people with physical, developmental or mental disabilities produce and sell artwork. I’ve been volunteering and working there for over two years and I can honestly say it’s the best thing I’ve ever been associated with. The difference this place makes in so many people’s lives is enormous.

You can purchase a copy of Striker for $3 by visiting the We Care Arts gift shop located at 3035 Wilmington Pike in Kettering, Oh (gift shop hours Mon-Fri 9am – 4pm and Sat 10am – 2pm). All proceeds are split between Lauren Easley and We Care Arts.

Here are some samples of the book:
