Saturday September 21st is the birthday of Bill Groundhog Day Ghostbustin’ Ass Murray. I’m going to celebrate by watching one of his classic films like Caddyshack, Stripes or Garfield. ¬†You should celebrate with me (from the convenience of your own home of course) by watching one too!

Or if you’d prefer to celebrate another way you can purchase the original artwork for the above drawing from me for $20 post paid to anywhere in the United States (I’ll even personalize it if you’d like).

Happy birthday Bill!

This is a recreation of a 19th century photograph I bought at an antique shop here in Dayton. The title was written in ink on the back of the photo.

My buddy Eric and I recently watched the Superman Batman Public Enemies dvd and felt inspired to do our own renditions of the characters. Make sure to check out his post at www.shonborn.net.

Not My Small Diary #15

Thursday, November 5th, 2009

When Delaine Derry Green asked me to contribute something to the latest issue of her awesome mini comic anthology Not My Small Diary I was pleased as punch. Each issue has a theme and this one is “brushes with celebrities”. I contributed a three page story about the time I met Kenny Rogers at a Kenny Rogers Roasters Restaurant here in Dayton.

This two volume set is $7 postpaid and features some of my personal favorite mini comics artists including: John Porcellino, Jason Martin, Carrie McNinch and Noah Van Schiver (and sweet covers by Frederick Noland).

If you’re interested in obtaining a copy (and seeing a complete list of contributors) visit https://www.mysmallwebpage.com or just e-mail Delaine directly at delangel3 at hotmail dot com.

It’s a crossover! My friend Joe wanted me to draw something for his brother’s birthday and this is what happened. Hope he likes it.
