Pinoy Komiks

This is the first page of a comic I did for an upcoming charity book for victims of the typhoon that destroyed much of the Philippines in November 2013.

It’s being put together by Adam Pasion who did the Aftershock benefit anthology in 2011 for victims of the tsunami and earthquake in Japan and features many great cartoonists from various countries including, of course, the Philippines.

Here is a link to the Kickstarter page (which due to a strange rule about doing charity work on their page you can no longer actually mention that it’s for charity… but trust me, it is).

Help a good cause and read some good comics at the same time… what could be better?

On March 11, 2011 a 9.0 magnitude earthquake off the Pacific coast of Tohoku triggered a tsunami that resulted in billions of dollars worth of damage and the loss 20,000 lives.

In an effort to do his part to provide relief cartoonist Adam Pasion (who was born in the U.S. but has been living in Japan for a few years) decided to put together this comics anthology. All proceeds go to various relief agencies involved in the rebuilding process including The Japanese Red Cross and Save the Children.

It’s a great anthology featuring over 130 pages of comics from over 30 cartoonists including Jeffrey Brown, Carrie McNinch, Eric Shonborn and Noah Van Sciver. I also contributed a three page comic, the first page of which you can see by clicking on the Aftershock icon above.

To help contribute to the charity please order a copy of the comic from Adam’s mail-order website at one of the following links:
