Revolve was a comic strip I did that was published in Telephone magazine for a year or so. They were planning on doing an issue with a Sunday comics style insert and this was my submission (unfortunately the magazine went under before that issue was realized).

Record Store Day!

As you probably already know, Saturday April 19th is Record Store Day! To celebrate, I did this Revolve comic strip for your enjoyment (and as a reminder to get out there and support your local record store).

Personally, I’m most excited about the new Pixies album coming out as well as the 10″ record of unreleased Hank Williams, Sr. recordings. Unreleased Hank Williams… How cool is that?!?

To see the other swell releases and to find the nearest participating record store near you, check out the official site here.

To see more of my Revolve comic strips, pick up a copy of Telephone Magazine or (if you’re not from the greater Dayton area) visit their website here.

DSCF0101

Starting with the current issue of Telephone (issue 7) my comic strip ‘Revolve’ will be printed in their comics section. Although I’ve drawn lots of comic books in the last few years I haven’t tried drawing a comic strip since I was a teenager and I’m really excited to tackle this format again. This one will appear exclusively in Telephone so be sure to give it a look.

In addition to being awesome, Telephone is free and available at most questionable establishments in the Dayton area and beyond (everywhere from Springboro to Tipp City). You can also read the entire magazine online here so even if you don’t live in the area there’s no reason not to check it out. Thanks to Kerry Brown and Juliet Fromholt for getting me involved!
