Recently my friend Eric reminded me that it has been awhile since I posted anything to this blog.
To remedy that I present to you a comic I did for my friend Joseph Tenney of Capricorn Comix out of North Carolina.
He created Squad Car and asked me to do a short comic about the character. I convinced him to let me do an origin story and had a blast doing so! There are only 20 copies of this comic in existence so I figured I’d post it here in case you missed it.

All right, Jason, I recognize the young hoodlum near Blue Star’s knee in the splash panel, although it does seem odd that he isn’t Ghastly Ember’s accomplice. Is he too much an arch-fiend to associate with a lesser embodiment of unbridled evil? But one thing beyond my feeble comprehension is “Poe-Poe.” What does it all mean?
Ha! Glad you noticed my cameo. I realize you just call them “the heat” or “the fuzz” but poe poe (or po po) is slang for police (or at least it was in the ’90’s…who knows what the kids are calling ’em these days).
