Woodblock Print

Recently I’ve been going to a printmaking co-op here in Dayton with my friend Lisa. This is the first (non-digital) print I’ve made in the last seven years and it was a blast to do.

I’m working on another woodblock print now that will be the cover to an upcoming mini-comic. More on that one later.

  1. Very cool! I have always wanted to try this but never have. I was just going to buy one of the kits at the art store and see if I can figure it out.

I think your style would lend itself really well to printmaking! I found a decent set of Mikisyo Power Grip carving tools on Amazon that work really well (I tried finding some at my local art supply stores but neither had them in stock).

Please don’t lose a hand or eye.

  2. I’ll try my best but people always say “chicks dig scars”.
