Revolve was a comic strip I did that was published in Telephone magazine for a year or so. They were planning on doing an issue with a Sunday comics style insert and this was my submission (unfortunately the magazine went under before that issue was realized).

This flip comic features two spooky fun stories! Coffin Blind was written by me and drawn by Nate McDonough and The Witch’s Wager was written by Nate and drawn by me. In case you’re not familiar with Nate’s amazing comic Grixly (among others) check out his site here.
Two dollars gets you a copy (shipping included). You can barely buy a glass of water for two dollars these days but here we are offering you this beautiful miniature sequential art graphic narrative shipped to your very own home!
This could be the best day of your life.
Finally! My secret origin revealed!!!
This new mini-comic collects ten strips ranging from one to six pages each. Five of these strips have never seen print before in any form and the others are from zines and anthologies that surely almost no one has read… so basically it’s all new stuff!
Veggie Dog Saturn #0 will officially release at The Small Press and Alternative Comics Expo (S.P.A.C.E.) this weekend! For more information on the show check out their website here.
And if you don’t make it to the show please feel free to send three measly dollars to Jason Young 3315 S. Smithville Rd. Each page is redrawn by a different artist who put their own take on the original and I couldn’t be happier with the result. It’s truly a thing to behold! Just check out the beautiful cover by Nate Mcdonough!

It isn’t for sale, but if you stop by my table at S.P.A.C.E. (ths Small Press and Alternative Comics Expo) on July 11th or 12th in Columbus I’d be happy to give you a free copy.

This new mini-comic is my adaptation of one of my favorite songs by The Handsome Family. The words are the lyrics to the song of the same title from their Last Days of Wonder LP (with songs about Nikola Tesla, bowling alley bars, ghosts and falling in love with strangers at airports it is a great record start to finish).
In case you’re unfamiliar, The Handsome Family is Brett and Rennie Sparks. Rennie writes the lyrics, Brett writes the music and they both sing and play.
So, last year I wrote to Rennie Sparks to ask her permission to do this comic and to my delight she responded, “Go for it!” so off I went and did it!
Now it’s done and is $3 postpaid to anywhere in North America. Send well concealed cash to the address at the bottom of this page for this thirty page black and white mini-comic with full color cover.
Also, for some truly great music that some describe as American Folk or Country Gothic (I just call it awesome!) visit the Handsome Family’s website here.
So, I just found out this wasn’t a new idea. A cartoonist from the UK by the name of Dan Berry already did it… and did it much better. I guess it’s true “There’s nothing new under the sun.”
Check out an example of Dan’s fantastic work here.
