Paper Girls

This is a drawing of Mac from Image’s Paper Girls that I did last night in celebration of the book’s return this week. Issue six hit the stands on Wednesday after a four month break in production and picks up where the cliffhanger at the end of the previous issue (or the very affordable trade paperback!) left us.

Paper Girls is a great comic written by Brian K. Vaughan and drawn by Cliff Chiang. It also has wonderful colors by Matt Wilson and top notch lettering and design by Jared K. Fletcher (I usually only take note of the writer and artist of a comic book but everyone involved in this project deserves credit for creating a truly great reading experience).

It’s about a troupe of newspaper delivery girls… and so, so much more.

Do yourself a favor and check it out if you haven’t yet!

Well, that’s just nifty! I read this up to issue 3 I think, and then just picked up the trade on Friday and was wondering what the current issue was. Good to know that I’m not too far behind.

  1. Beautiful illustration Jason. I really dig the depth of her well lit bedroom.
    Incredible figure btw.
