The Cat

When I was a kid my brother and I had a set of the 1984 Marvel Super Heroes First Issue Covers trading cards.

There were cards of all the classic first issue covers like Fantastic Four, The Amazing Spider-man and The X-men… but there was always one that stuck out to me.

I’d never seen that comic and wouldn’t for almost thirty years! My friend Keith recently gave me a copy of issue one and I couldn’t have been more excited to finally read it.

Luckily, I enjoyed it quite a bit! Linda Fite, Marie Severin and Wally Wood turned out a pretty swell comic and I’m going to try to track down the rest of the series (there’s only three other issues) and read those as well!

This was super fun. It’s called scratch paper and it’s much like scratch board only in’s a lot thinner and instead of having an undercoating of white it’s tie dyed underneath the black surface layer.

Pretty inexpensive as well. Try it out sometime if you’re bored!
