I haven’t been feeling very creative lately. But since I still like to draw I tried to faithfully recreate some old Marvel Comics covers. Here’s my version of Defenders #50 (drawn while watching episodes of Quantum Leap on Netflix) originally drawn by Al Milgrom. Al Milgrom deserves more love, by the way.

There’s a Star Wars comic book that came out recently chronicling the adventure C3P0 went through to end up with that red arm he’s sporting in Force Awakens.

Although I have yet to read the comic, I’m pretty sure the story has nothing to do with him riding around on a My Little Pony, but I drew this image for my friend Reagan (age 4 and a half) to color as she’s a big fan of both properties.

Finally! My secret origin revealed!!!

This new mini-comic collects ten strips ranging from one to six pages each. Five of these strips have never seen print before in any form and the others are from zines and anthologies that surely almost no one has read… so basically it’s all new stuff!

Veggie Dog Saturn #0 will officially release at The Small Press and Alternative Comics Expo (S.P.A.C.E.) this weekend! For more information on the show check out their website here.

And if you don’t make it to the show please feel free to send three measly dollars to Jason Young 3315 S. Smithville Rd. Dayton, Oh. 45420 (or via paypal to veggiedogsaturn (at) gmail (dot) com) for a postage paid copy delivered right to your door (throw in a few extra bucks and I’ll send you some other comics or artwork as well)!

If you like comics about super heroes but are willing to think outside the box a little on what a superhero comic can be then Joe Grunenwald’s Postscript is for you.

I don’t want to give too much away but it feels like a golden age superheo tale only it’s told from the perspective of the supervillain’s mother. Joe G. wrote and drew it himself and I did the cover. He sells them for a dollar and you can order one by emailing him at so grab one while you can as it’s truly a great debut comic.

Veggie Dog Saturn #5

Like an old friend you wish would just stop visiting it’s here! Veggie Dog Saturn issue 5 is ready to be consumed! So grab three one dollar bills, shove ’em in an envelope and mail it to the address at the bottom of this page (checks or money orders are okay too) or send me your digital cash via paypal at

This one features 5 never before published autobiographical tales of hilarity and/or grossness written and drawn by me plus a story that was originally published in the wonderful anthology comic Not My Small Diary.

This comic book officially releases at SPACE this weekend in Columbus, Ohio. So, if you’re going to be there, drop by the Buyer Beware table and pick up a copy in person. I’ll be happy to draw any character in the known universe on it for you for free (although I might need a piece of reference). Hope to see you there!
