Back in April of this year I visited the Warther Museum in Dover,Ohio. The focus of the museum was Ernest “Mooney” Warther’s amazing hand carved trains and tools but also there is his wife Freida’s button collection. There are more than 70,000 of them on display in patterns lining the ceiling and every wall in her “button house” (50,000 of them being unique) and it’s pretty amazing.
If you ever get the chance to visit the museum I highly recommend it. There’s a tree made of pliers!!!

So I wanted to take a moment to promote a couple of things. My friend and fellow cartoonist Brian John Mitchell did an interview with me that you can read in the new issue of QRD which is available here. It’s a webzine that features interviews with not only myself but a plethora of other interesting artists and musicians (plus a great video of Brian and his friend Kelsey reviewing obscure candies)!

In addition to wasting his valuable time asking me questions about my mad cartooning skills Brian also recently put up a Kickstarter campaign for some Christmas buttons that you should check out here. They feature some pretty diverse art from several cartoonists including myself (see the images above) and would make great Christmas presents for your loved ones while helping out the community of starving artists.

Speaking of Christmas gifts and starving artists… while you’re checking out all these links I suggest taking a few minutes to look at all the amazing comics and music available from Silber Records. I’m personally a huge fan of the comics Just A Man, Pow Wow, StarĀ and REH. Great stuff.
