Kat, if you were my girlfriend, forcing me to watch Grey’s Anatomy would cause me to break up with you. You’re a terrible person for making Jason watch it, and Jason is a friggin’ saint for putting up with it, and I say that as a person who was paid to watch that show for a while. (I mostly kid, I love you both).

Jason, I think I’d rather see these as they happen, not in week-long chunks. Also bigger, if possible. I’m getting old and can’t afford new glasses.

I’ve been deeply admiring Eric’s postings of his works at Christopher’s and hope that you’ll post all of yours. But having seen the originals recently, all I can say is that, as good as the drawings look on a screen, they’re even better when seen “face to face!” You two are outrageously good but you’ve outdone yourselves this time! Hmmm…. I’d imagine Ben would get angry and try to thrash Impy and the rest of the FF would theorize that Ben was under some kind of mind control spell (why ELSE would he try to do bodily harm to his very own Aunt Petunia?). Eventually they’d get hip to what was really going on and band together to capture and/or force Impy to leave. Then they’d have a laugh and Ben would end up eating the leftover hamburgers and the final panel would have him saying, “Who’d a thunk it… the little green squirt’s burgers are even better than Aunt Petunia’s!” as the rest of the FF looked on with surprise.
But that’s just a guess.

Hi Jason – Got a chance to read “Jason’s Quest”, and it was really nicely done. A memoir comic about an actual adventure (not just the mundanity of life) is a real treat! This had great production, too – the newsprint interiors and period ads turned out really nice.

Thanks for the kind words…and yes, you are right about the numbers on the side of the milk carton! March 12th, 1951 was indeed the date of the first Dennis the Menace cartoon. And Half Hitch is a reference to an earlier less successful strip also by the same artist. It seems like every time I put an inside joke in there you’re the first to Ketcham.

Now, I saw your “Dennis the Menace” piece on Panic. It’s a work of genius– sick, twisted, and potentially dangerous genius– but genius nevertheless. I have a couple of questions about it. Is the phone number the date of the 1st published Dennis cartoon? And is there some “inside” meaning to the name of the dairy company?
