Ball Point Break

When I got the idea to do a Mad Magazine style parody of the movie Point Break I figured it would be about eight pages or so. Just something to amuse my friend Doogie and I (both of us being huge fans of the film).

Somehow it inexplicably just kept going until it became what you see here. My first graphic novel. I sincerely hope you enjoy it, but don’t feel bad if you don’t. Me and Doogie both think it’s awesome.

    I still have problems with this, mostly it due to being a parody of a terrible movie. I’m glad it’s finally posted, though. Maybe a little bittersweet, considering current circumstances, but hopefully it brings someone else some joy. Not me, though. ‘Cause POINT BREAK sucks.

  3. HUGE POINT BREAK FAN HERE! I WAS 21 WHEN THIS MOVIE CAME OUT ON VIDEO AND ACTUALLY HAD TO BE TALKED INTO RENTING IT AS I WAS NOT A HUGE FAN OF SWAYZE AND KNEW KEANU FROM RIVER’S EDGE AND WASN’T INTERESTED AT ALL……THEN WITH MORE PRODDING AND A PROMISE OF A 12 PACK AND THAT I WOULD LOVE IT….
    AND I DID!
    WHEN I SAW THE FIRST FAST AND FURIOUS I NOTICED RIGHT AWAY THAT IT WAS A BLATANT RIP OFF OF POINT BREAK! EVERYTHING IS IDENTICAL EXCEPT INSTEAD OF SURFERS IT’S CARS. NOW THE DIRECTOR HAS COME FULL CIRCLE ON HIS RIPOFF SUCCESS AND IS REMAKING POINT BREAK! DUDE!! WRITE YOUR OWN FUCKIN MOVIES!!!! I FOR ONE WILL BE BOYCOTTING THE REMAKE.
    ANYWAY….
    COOL TRIVIA- WATCH THE MOVIE “TO LIVE AND DIE IN L.A.” LOOK AT THE TWO CARS INVOLVED IN THE BIG CAR CHASE SCENE….DO THEY LOOK FAMILIAR POINT BREAK FANS?
    SO…
    I WAS ONLINE LOOKING TO SEE IF MAD OR CRACKED HAD A POINT BREAK SPOOF CUZ I WOULD CREATE A SPOOF JUST TO GIVE JOHNNY UTAH HUGE THROBBING NIPPLES IN THE NIGHT MEETING WITH PAPPAS!! WITH PAPPAS JUST LOCKED IN ON HIS NIPS WITH A DUMBFOUNDED LOOK ON HIS FACE THAT NEVER CHANGES THROUGH THE ENTIRE SCENE. EXCEPT JOHNNY DOES ALL HIS TALKING WITH NO RESPONSE FROM PAPPAS……….
    “I GET IT!! I HAVE ERECT NIPPLES!!…..IT’S FROM SURFING SHIRTLESS!”
    AS PAPPAS MAKES SLURPING SOUNDS LIKE A BABY.
