Sweet Tooth

I try to follow several monthly comic book titles but Jeff Lemire’s Sweet Tooth from DC Vertigo is the only one I seem to make time to read. It’s kinda like if Cormac McCarthy’s “The Road” was adapted into a children’s book drawn by Raymond Pettibon. There’s a trade paperback of the first five issues with a ten dollar cover price. Skip a meal or a pack of smokes and go pick it up. I promise it’s worth it.

I don’t have anything funny or asshole-like to say. Good job.

I love your description of the book. And your art! Truthfully, I might even like your Sweet Tooth better than Lemire’s.

I love the quality of your line in this drawing–is it brush, nip, or what? Please enlighten me! I second Kathleen’s comment!

I apologize to Vollstick… I only now (almost three years after your comment) saw your post. It’s all Staedtler Pigment Liner pens… the best pens on earth (and they only cost about $3 each)!
